Chad learned about online marketing with Google maps in 1999 and started the Google Maps Elite course in the early 2000s.

Chad Kimball has made millions of dollars generating leads with Google map listings. He isn't in the limelight, which is why few people know him, but his students have made over $30 million in the last 5 years. He was the mentor for many successful lead generation coaches and students today.

Who is Chad Kimball?

Chad Kimball is a 7-figure digital entrepreneur who has made his money from Google maps. Before he made his millions, he worked a typical 9-5 job. In January 1999, he discovered the hidden gem of Google Maps and local digital marketing. By the end of that year, he quit his job and started working from home full-time. His first client ended up earning him over $100,000 in sales. After two years, Chad had already made $2 million dollars.

What Chad liked about Google maps was that larger companies weren't really paying too much attention to it in their marketing strategy. Today, that's still the case. As a result, smaller digital businesses, startups and entrepreneurs can go into smaller markets and earn big profits.

Chad currently has thousands of Google map listings that make him millions of dollars each year because they generate leads for small businesses. What he loves the most is that he could outsource most of the work. He's also created software that helps your map listings last longer and avoids Google suspensions.

Chad is active in the group and the Chad Kimball YouTube channel has over 4.7K subscribers, where he uploads videos each month about online marketing and case studies.

Who is Chad's daughter?

Chad's daughter's name is Bethany and according to this YouTube video he posted in 2020, she makes 5-figures with what he teaches in his Google Maps course.

What Chad would do if he started over?

Tip:Chad says he would have dove straight into Google Maps and scaled as quickly as possible when it was easy to verify thousands of map listings by phone. Now, verifying Google Business Profiles isn't as easy as it was in 2008 because Google has changed their algorithm.

What is the Arbor Academy?

The Arbor Academy was the name of Chad Kimball's training platform, where he teaches his Google Maps strategy for generating leads. The platform is currently called LocalAutoPilot.

What does Chad Kimball teach inside the Google Maps Elite course?

1. Researching local businesses

Chad goes over what you can do to find local businesses who can benefit from your services and why they'd be great clients for you.

2. Creating business proposals that engage small businesses

You'll learn how to create business proposals that can capture the attention of a local business you want to work with. There's more to this than just sending the price for one of your services. Proposals should be clear and to the point.

3. Developing a price structure that earns for both the customer and you

Understanding your numbers is a must when you run a business. If not, a business owner will tell you don't know what you're doing. Most marketers don't know how to think outside of the box and structure their prices in certain ways that allow for everyone to be happy. As a result, they lose out on money and potential customers.

Chad shows you the many ways to go about doing this (percentage deal, flat fee, hybrid, etc.).

At the end of the day, you have the solution business owners need to get more clients. The difference between closing a deal and walking away without one can be as simple as properly structuring a deal in a way that everyone is happy and winning. #beaproblemsolver

4. Implementing Google Maps tech to manage your online company

There are CRM's available to manage your Google Business Profiles (previously known as Google My Business). By using a CRM, you'll be able to manage all the lead flow into your map listings and funnel them directly to your clients in a professional and organized manner.

5. Creating offers and leads that drive sales

Lead management is important and Chad teaches you the best ways to create offers and use the leads in advance strategy to drive more sales your way.

6. Search Engine Optimization

To get your map listings and websites to rank in any location, you need to perform search engine optimization. Chad talks about citations for your GBP, backlinks, and more. He even talks about how you can use the Google Local Guide feature to help optimize/manage your listings.

Is Google Maps Elite worth it?

These are some of the student testimonials on the Google Maps Elite sales page.

William Brice and his wife used to rent an online software for 14 years. He was also a code breaker in the military. After only 2 years of being in Chad's course, William made, on average, $15-$18K per month. Today, he makes over $35K per month and has over 25 map listings that generate leads for his clients. William said that the Google Maps Elite private group is very supportive, even if he has a simple question to ask.

Ben is from Green Bay, Wisconsin and works with over 150 sub contractors all across the United States. He joined the Google Maps Elite course in 2008 and now generates between $6 million and $10 million per year in sales. In his student testimonial interview, Ben told Chad, "In 10 years, there have been multiple algorithm changes (Google), and you always have a work around it. I don't have to figure it out. You've already got it figured out."

My Thoughts: Google Maps Elite will be worth it if you're going to dedicate the time to build out your Google Business Profiles (GBP) the right way. Google is often changing their algorithm, which means you need to be ready to adjust at a moment's notice. You also need to innovate and find different ways to claim GBPs. If you wanted to build out 10-20 map listings and websites, be ready to invest in domain names and hosting. This can require an initial investment of a few hundred dollars to start.

Chad makes the process easy in this course and helps you avoid common mistakes when getting started.

Is renting out Google map listings profitable?

Renting out Google map listings is profitable because almost everyone goes to Google when they need to find a service-based business. According to Oberlo, in 2021, almost 5.4 million new applications were filed to start a new business. If those businesses want to be successful, they need to generate leads regularly. That's where these skills come into play.

The internet and local small businesses aren't going anywhere. Ranking digital properties locally is much easier to do than nationally. Therefore, if you can successfully rank your Google Business profiles and lead generation sites, local business owners who don't have the time or skills to do it themselves will look to pay you for leads, if they're smart.

Of the many online business models that exist, local lead generation is my top choice for making money online.

Conclusion

Just like Chad's course, the local lead generation coaching program also teaches how to rent digital properties to local businesses. In the program, you're taught how to first optimize your lead generation site and rank it organically in the search results.

You also learn the best practices on how to rank your Google Business profile above the local competition. Over7000 students worldwide have decided to live life on their own terms and help local businesses with the skills taught within the program.
